Mammograms can save lives! Get yours with the help of Bonnie's Bus!
Bonnie’s Bus is a state-of-the-art, 45-foot mobile mammography vehicle is dedicated to increasing access to breast cancer screening in West Virginia, particularly in rural areas.
Bonnie’s Bus is equipped to accept Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance. Additionally, for those who are uninsured, assistance is available to enroll in the West Virginia Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program (WVBCCSP). Thanks to the generosity of grants and donations, funds are accessible to cover the cost of mammograms for uninsured West Virginia women aged 40 and over, further ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent patients from accessing these critical services.
Bonnie’s Bus is made possible through a generous donation from West Virginia natives Jo and Ben Statler to the Cancer Institute and is named in honor of Jo Statler’s late mother, Bonnie Wells Wilson.
