Valley Health Systems Inc. is proud to announce a generous donation of 22,000 medical supply items to Sunflower Seeds – Tri-State Aid for Ukraine, an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to providing critical medical aid and humanitarian assistance in Ukraine. This donation will be sent to Ukraine to support small groups of defenders and civilian hospitals affected by the ongoing crisis.
Leading the initiative, Dr. Marc Subik, a gastroenterologist at Valley Health, recognized the urgent need for medical supplies in Ukraine. “We are committed to supporting those in need during this challenging time. The work that Sunflower Seeds is doing is invaluable, and we are honored to contribute to their mission,” said Dr. Subik.
The donation includes:
- 20,000 needles and syringes
- 1,000 disposable drapes
- 1,000 isolation gowns.
These supplies are crucial for providing care and protection to both medical personnel and those receiving assistance in the conflict-affected areas. The supplies will be shipped by Sunflower Seeds in the coming weeks, ensuring that aid reaches those who need it most.
“This partnership demonstrates the power of community and compassion. We are grateful for Valley Health Systems’ support, which will help us save lives on the ground in Ukraine,” said John Yeager, president of Sunflower Seeds – Tri-State Aid for Ukraine.
Valley Health Systems Inc. remains committed to making a positive impact on public health and supporting efforts that enhance the well-being of individuals and communities in need, both locally and internationally.
