Valley Health KidCare and Kanawha County WIC Serve Up Lunch with Santa to 50 Children, Guardians

[December 7, 2023] Charleston, WV – Valley Health KidCare and Kanawha County WIC brought holiday cheer to 50 children and their families providing Lunch with Santa Thursday, December 7, 2023.    This special event took place at Texas Roadhouse on RHL Boulevard in Charleston and included a complimentary meal and fun activities including taking a picture with Santa and learning how to make bread.  Each child received a toy worth $25, a filled stocking, cozy pajamas, and a blanket to take home. The whole family also received a Christmas book and get to take home their bread.   This event was exclusively for families with children under five years old who have a WV Medicaid card, or CHIPS gold card or participate in the WV WIC program.

Valley Health’s Breakfast with Santa takes place December 15th at Chili’s Restaurant by the Huntington Mall.   Valley Health Southside and Cabell County WIC teamed up for the event.   Both events were funded by donations from Valley Health staff, patients and the public.
