{Milton, WV – January 5th, 2024}– Valley Health Systems, Inc. is excited to participate in the upcoming Give Kids a Smile event scheduled for February 8, 2024. Children 14 years old and younger will be provided free dental services. The event will be held at Valley Health – Milton, at 1347 Hillview Drive, Milton. Additional dates at other Valley Health locations will be forthcoming throughout the year, so stay tuned!
40 children will receive dental care at the event, including exams, x-rays, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, and health education. This event is open to all children with or without health insurance. Those participants with dental insurance will have insurance billed but will not be responsible for any additional costs. This year marks the 24th anniversary of the Give Kids a Smile program. According to the American Dental Association, more than six million underserved children in the United States have received free oral health education and services through the program since its inception in 2003. We are proud to be part of this initiative and look forward to serving our community!
Dr. Megan Popp, DDS, says this is the 3rd year Valley Health is participating in the event, offering 40 appointments at the Milton location. Patients will also receive a goody bag with a toothbrush, floss, and toothpaste. “We are thrilled to partner with the ADA and host a Give Kids a Smile event at our Milton location this year! This event creates a fun and positive atmosphere that helps our young patients feel more comfortable visiting the dentist. It is a wonderful opportunity for us to offer free services and educate both children and their parents about the importance of oral health care,” said Dr. Popp. We cannot wait to see you there!
