Huntington, West Virginia – Valley Health Systems, Inc. is hosting a free Community Health Fair in celebration of Children’s Health Day at Enslow Park Presbyterian Church on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 9:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. This event will feature free health screenings and COVID-19 vaccines, activities for children including prizes, and information about services and programs offered by Valley Health.
“This event will bring together friends and families, with a special focus on our littlest patients. Community Health Centers have great impact on communities we serve by providing quality health care,” said Steven L. Shattls, MPA, President/CEO of Valley Health Systems, Inc. “By wrapping up National Health Center Week with an enjoyable event we hope to raise awareness about the mission and accomplishments health centers bring to our neighborhoods.”
More than 8 million children in the United States receive their primary health care from Community Health Centers. As children prepare to return to school, Valley Health Systems, Inc. aims to help provide a healthy start to the new year amidst uncertainty that the pandemic has brought to communities.
