
Valley Health is pleased to announce that Family Nurse Practitioner Heather Pick is joining the team at Valley Health – Fort Gay. With a diverse background in nursing, Heather is set to make a significant impact in the community by providing comprehensive care to both adult and pediatric patients.
Pick brings a wealth of experience to her new role. With 16 years of emergency department experience and an additional five years in nursing education as a health science instructor at Paul Blazer High School, she is well-prepared to deliver high-quality healthcare to the Fort Gay community.
“I am thrilled to join Valley Health and serve the residents of Fort Gay,” said Heather. “My years working in emergency care have provided me with invaluable experience, and I am excited to apply that knowledge as a nurse practitioner. Combined with my teaching experience, I look forward to fostering a supportive environment for patients and their families.”
Heather received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marshall University and went on to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Morehead State University. She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and holds Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Heather grew up in Wayne County, West Virginia and currently resides in Ashland, Kentucky. She is excited to continue to promote health and wellness in her community and aims to create positive health outcomes for her patients through accessible and compassionate care. Out of work hours, she enjoys traveling, reading, sporting events, and spending time with her two children.
