Valley Health Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Knight as the new Director of Safety and Security. Knight’s experience and expertise will ensure the safety and security of our patients, staff, and visitors at our multiple healthcare centers.
In his capacity as Safety Director, Knight will manage day-to-day safety operations, security, and emergency preparedness within the organization.

Knight has 11 years of experience in instructing state, local, and private sector partners across the United States and its territories for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and has been involved in Quality Assurance audits for instructors and curriculum to ensure that training meets the highest standards. Richard Knight is a graduate of Marshall University where he obtained his master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, and has an extensive background in law enforcement, having served 25 years with the Huntington Police Department. He resides in Charleston WV and in his spare time loves most outdoor activities, his favorites including hiking, kayaking, biking and camping.
