Why Do I Need Insurance?


Most individuals will need medical care at some point throughout their lives. Health insurance works to help cover the costs of medical care as well as other key benefits. Some of these are Essential Health Benefits that cover things like: emergency services, prescription medication, and preventative care such as vaccines and health screenings.

Having health insurance also protects individuals and their families from having to pay for high medical costs out of pocket.

Special Open Enrollment 2021


A Special Enrollment Period for COVID-19 Response begins February 15, 2021 and runs through May 15, 2021, with health insurance beginning at the first day of the month after being accepted. There are no requirements or restrictions during this Special Open Enrollment, and you may even be able to make changes to existing Marketplace plans from the 2020 Enrollment period.
