Halie Duba Joins Valley Health as Dental Hygienist in Milton

Valley Health is pleased to welcome Halie Duba, BSDH, RDH, CTTS, to its dental team at Valley Health – Milton.

Duba earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 2023. She brings experience in patient-centered preventive care and oral health education, along with clinical proficiency in Dentrix dental software.

“Halie Duba is a wonderful addition to our Valley Health dental team,” said Dr. Andrea Kelly, DDS, Valley Health Section Chief of Dentistry. “She brings a strong foundation in preventive oral healthcare, patient education, and a genuine passion for helping individuals feel comfortable and confident in their care.”

She holds multiple certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR), Local Anesthesia Administration, Nitrous Oxide Monitoring, Laser Certification, Bleaching Certification, and is also a Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist (CTTS).

“I was drawn to healthcare, particularly dentistry, because it allows me to build relationships with patients while promoting long-term health,” Duba said. “I enjoy educating patients and helping them feel confident and comfortable in their care. My philosophy of patient care is based on education and prevention. I believe empowering patients with knowledge allows them to take an active role in their oral health, leading to better long-term outcomes.”

Duba is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and the Student American Dental Hygiene Association, and she has contributed to research at WVU involving tobacco product use and periodontal classification.

Outside of work, Duba enjoys traveling, cruises, cooking, and reading. She also values using her time off to stay active, recharge, and spend time with loved ones while prioritizing self-care. She resides in Nitro, West Virginia, and has a twin sister who is also a dental hygienist.
