
Valley Health Systems, Inc. is proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 Valley Health Care Scholarships. Four students pursuing careers in nursing and healthcare were selected to receive scholarships in the amount of $4,250 each in recognition of their academic achievement, leadership, community service, and commitment to serving others through healthcare careers.
The 2026 Valley Health Health Care Scholarship recipients are:
• Isabella N. Kitts of Marshall University (St. Mary’s School of Nursing)
• Gracie Paige Hunt of Ohio University Southern
• Courtney Robertson of West Virginia Junior College
• Eden Wellman of Marshall University

Valley Health is honored to support these future nurses as they continue their educational journeys and prepare to care for our communities.”
Recipients were selected based on academic performance, career goals, volunteerism, leadership, and personal statements describing their passion for healthcare.
Isabella N. Kitts, a nursing student at Marshall University’s St. Mary’s School of Nursing, plans to work with pediatric, neonatal, and maternal patient populations following graduation and hopes to continue her education to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Gracie Paige Hunt, a student at Ohio University Southern, shared her passion for making a positive impact through compassionate nursing care and professional growth while serving her community.
Courtney Robertson of WVJC hopes to pursue a career in women’s health, focusing on preventive care, reproductive health, pregnancy, postpartum care, and patient advocacy.
Eden Wellman, a Marshall University nursing student, aspires to become a pediatric nurse and eventually continue her education to become a nurse practitioner.
“Our organization believes strongly in investing in the next generation of healthcare professionals,” said Dr. Weimer. “These scholarship recipients have already demonstrated exceptional commitment to their education and their communities, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in the years ahead.”
