[July 24, 2025 – Huntington, WV] – Valley Health is pleased to welcome Dr. Safiyyah Mitchell, Doctor of Pharmacy, to our team at the Valley Health Pea Ridge Pharmacy.
Dr. Mitchell earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Marshall University and completed her residency at Charleston Area Medical Center. She is highly qualified, holding several professional certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Diabetes Management Certification, and Naloxone Administration.
Expressing her enthusiasm, Dr. Mitchell shared, “I’m truly excited to begin my journey as a clinical pharmacist with Valley Health. This opportunity is especially meaningful to me because I’ve always been passionate about serving others, particularly those who may not have easy access to care. I’m honored to join a team that shares this commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care for everyone in the community.”

Currently residing in Huntington, Dr. Mitchell enjoys spending time with family and friends and partaking in outdoor activities such as hiking and leisurely walks in the park.
