Valley Health Welcomes Dr. Mehrette M. Maru, MD, FACC, FSCAI to the Valley Health Heart & Vascular Center

Valley Health is proud to announce the addition of Dr. Mehrette M. Maru, M.D., FACC, FSCAI, to its newly launched Heart & Vascular Center, bringing more than 25 years of experience in interventional cardiology to the organization and the communities it serves. Valley Heath’s Heart & Vascular Center is located at 4270 US Route 60 East; Huntington, WV.

Dr. Maru joins Valley Health following distinguished tenures at St. Mary’s HIMG and Huntington HIMG, where he provided exceptional cardiovascular care and leadership. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Addis Ababa University and completed his internship, residency, and cardiology fellowship at Marshall University’s Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.

Board certified in Interventional Cardiovascular Diseases and Cardiovascular Diseases, Dr. Maru has been involved in more than a dozen publications and research initiatives throughout his career. He is a Fellow of the Society of Coronary Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI), a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), and a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.

The launch of the Heart & Vascular Center is part of Valley Health’s broader initiative to provide integrated, high-quality specialty care close to home. Dr. Maru’s addition ensures that patients will benefit from state-of-the-art diagnostics, minimally invasive treatments, and personalized care plans tailored to their individual needs.

Dr. Maru currently resides in Huntington, WV, where he enjoys playing tennis and soccer, collecting watches, and following world politics in his free time.
