Valley Health welcomes Jessica Napier, PMHNP-BC to Behavioral Health Team

Valley Health Systems, Inc. is proud to announce the addition of Jessica Napier, PMHNP-BC, to its Behavioral Health team. Jessica will serve patients as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at both Valley Health Pea Ridge and Valley Health Highlawn, expanding access to comprehensive behavioral health services in the region.

With more than 10 years of nursing experience, Jessica brings vast clinical expertise and community commitment to her new role. Most recently, she served as a PMHNP at Lily’s Place in Huntington, WV, where she provided psychiatric evaluations and medication management to individuals and families impacted by substance use and mental illness. Her approach integrates evidence-based treatment with cultural sensitivity and community collaboration to support long-term recovery.

Jessica also has a strong background in caring for vulnerable populations, including six years as an RN providing care to substance-exposed infants. Outside of her clinical work, she is actively engaged in community service, volunteering with the Facing Hunger Food Bank, the Brain Under Construction initiative, and organizing local trash clean-up efforts.

She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from Ohio University, and her Associate of Science in Nursing from St. Mary’s School of Nursing. Napier is board-certified as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is licensed to practice in West Virginia.

“Jessica’s passion for patient-centered care and her dedication to both evidence-based treatment and community collaboration make her an excellent addition to our team,” said Dr. Rebecca Denning, Section Chief of Behavioral Health at Valley Health. “Her experience and compassion for patients facing mental health and substance use challenges will greatly strengthen our ability to serve families across the Tri-State.”

“I am truly honored to join Valley Health and continue serving individuals and families in our community,” said Napier. “My goal is to provide compassionate, accessible behavioral health care that helps people achieve long-term recovery and overall wellness.”

Napier lives in Huntington and enjoys spending time with her family camping, hiking, and paddleboarding in her off-work hours.

Napier’s arrival underscores Valley Health’s ongoing commitment to expanding behavioral health services and ensuring patients have access to high-quality, compassionate care close to home.
