Valley Health Welcomes Nurse Practitioner Jessica Smith to It’s New Heart & Vascular Center

Valley Health Systems, Inc. is proud to welcome Jessica Smith, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, to its Heart & Vascular Center team. Smith will provide inpatient cardiology services, ensuring continuity of care for Valley Health patients in the hospital setting.

Smith brings more than 18 years of nursing and cardiology experience to her new role. She previously served as a Nurse Practitioner at St. Mary’s HIMG, a Cardiac Nurse on the Heart and Vascular Unit at King’s Daughters Medical Center, a nurse in the Cath lab at Kings Daughters, and as an Operating Room Nurse at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

A native of the region, Smith earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marshall University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Ohio University. She currently resides in Proctorville, Ohio with her husband and enjoys growing plants, reading, and walking with her French Bulldog in her off-work hours.

“I am devoted to providing compassionate care and bettering the lives of patients in my community,” Smith said.

The Valley Health Heart & Vascular Center was established to expand access to high-quality cardiovascular services across the region.
