
Valley Health Systems, Inc. is pleased to welcome Melissa Chapman, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, to its new Heart & Vascular Center, where she will provide advanced cardiology care to patients across the region. Valley Health’s Heart and Vascular center is located at 4270 US Route 60 East, Huntington.
Chapman brings more than a decade of cardiology experience to the practice. Most recently, she served as an Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner with St. Mary’s Medical Management and previously worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Mary’s Medical Center. In 2024, she was honored as St. Mary’s Medical Center Nurse Practitioner of the Year for her outstanding patient care and clinical expertise.
A native of the area, Chapman earned her nursing degree and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marshall University, followed by her Master of Science in Nursing from Ohio University.
Chapman is committed to improving patient outcomes through collaboration and patient-centered care commenting, “I look forward to working with Valley Health’s cardiology team to create effective, individualized treatment plans that help patients achieve better health and quality of life.”
The establishment of Valley Health’s Heart & Vascular Center reflects the organization’s commitment to expanding access to advanced cardiovascular services in the community.

She resides in Barboursville. Chapman enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, watching soccer and baseball, and visiting the beach in her spare time.
