Valley Health is pleased to announce that Jeffery McCloud has joined the team at Valley Health – Wayne as a pharmacist.
McCloud brings more than 31 years of experience in retail and independent pharmacy practice, with a strong background in patient care, regulatory compliance, medication therapy management (MTM), immunizations, and pharmacy operations.
“Jeffery is a highly respected pharmacist with a strong track record of providing exceptional patient care and leading pharmacy operations,” said Ashley Houvouras, PharmD, Chief Pharmacy Officer at Valley Health. “His deep roots in community pharmacy and commitment to safety, service, and quality make him a wonderful addition to our team. We are excited to welcome him to Valley Health and to the Wayne community.”
Prior to joining Valley Health, McCloud served as Pharmacy Manager at Fruth Pharmacy in Lavalette, West Virginia. He also spent nine years as Pharmacist and Owner of McCloud Family Pharmacy in Lavalette, where he led all aspects of independent pharmacy operations. Earlier in his career, he worked as a pharmacist at Rite Aid Pharmacy.
“I am excited to join the dedicated team at Valley Health and continue serving the people and families I’ve had the privilege of caring for over the past three decades,” said McCloud. “My focus remains on supporting better patient outcomes through safe medication practices, preventive care, and collaborative healthcare.”
McCloud earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Kentucky and is a Registered Pharmacist with the West Virginia Board of Pharmacy. He is also certified as an Immunizing Pharmacist and holds Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
He lives in Lavalette, WV and enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with family and friends in his off-work hours.
