Valley Health Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Shawn “Scott” Jenkins Jr., PharmD, to its growing pharmacy team. Dr. Jenkins will serve patients across three Valley Health pharmacy locations: Huntington East, Pea Ridge, and Huntington. He joins a dedicated team of 21 pharmacy professionals working to meet the medication and clinical care needs of patients across the Tri-State at Valley Health’s seven pharmacy locations.
Jenkins earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Marshall University School of Pharmacy in April 2022 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the Marshall University College of Health Professions.
Prior to joining Valley Health, Scott gained extensive community pharmacy experience through his work with Fruth Pharmacy in Ironton, Ohio, where he served as both Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist, and with Walgreens Pharmacy in Hurricane, West Virginia, as a Floating Pharmacist and earlier as a Pharmacy Intern. He also trained with Renegade Pharmacy in Oceana, West Virginia.

Scott Jenkins lives in Huntington with wife Kearsta and 2 dogs, Reese and Cookie. He enjoys spending time with my family, watching sports, and playing video games in his off time.
