Patients in the Milton area will soon have another family medicine physician close to home. Valley Health Systems, Inc. welcomes Zachary Lindsey, MD, to the care team at Valley Health Milton, beginning September 28, 2026. Dr. Lindsey joins a multidisciplinary team of providers at Valley Health Milton, which offers family medicine, pediatrics, behavioral health, dentistry, OB/GYN, gastroenterology and other services.
Dr. Lindsey recently completed his Family Medicine Residency at Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) in Boone, North Carolina, where his training included both outpatient and inpatient care. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from East Tennessee State University’s Quillen College of Medicine, completing the school’s Rural Primary Care Track, and received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Lindsey has a particular interest in community-based medicine, preventive care and improving the way care is delivered to patients. He also served in several residency leadership roles, including Recruitment Chief, Residents as Educators Liaison and a member of the Program Evaluation Committee.
“Dr. Lindsey’s training in family medicine and rural primary care makes him an excellent fit for Valley Health and for the Milton community,” said Mathew Weimer, MD, President and CEO of Valley Health Systems, Inc. “We continue to invest in strong primary care teams because having a trusted provider close to home can make an important difference in a patient’s long-term health. I look forward to becoming part of the community and working alongside the team at Valley Health Milton.”
Dr. Lindsey lives in Huntington with his wife Devyn and their cat Milo. He enjoys hiking and fishing in his off-work hours.
