Valley Health Adds Service, New Licensed Counselor Harts Health Center

[Huntington, WV, October 19, 2023] — Valley Health Systems, Inc. is pleased to provide greater access to behavioral health care by expanding our services to Valley Health Harts and welcoming Licensed Professional Counselor Beverly McDonald to our Harts location.   McDonald has more than nine years of experience in mental health.  She specializes in individual, family, and group therapy as well as behavioral health consultation. Beverly works with children and adolescents age 7 years and older and adults of all ages.

In addition to her professional experience, McDonald holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services and a Master of Education in Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. Beverly also has an Associate of Science in Computer Science from Southern West Virginia Community & Technical College.

When asked why she chose to start a career at Valley Health, Beverly said, “I love helping patients and taking them from where they are and what they have to work on to ultimately achieve their goals and good health.”

McDonald lives in Chapmanville with her husband and son.   In her spare time, she volunteers for various organizations and believes in giving back to the community.   McDonald also enjoys reading fiction novels, traveling, and going on cruises or beach trips.
