Huntington, West Virginia <March 23, 2022> – Valley Health Systems, Inc. is proud to announce the promotion of Ashley Houvouras, PharmD, to Chief Pharmacy Office for Valley Health Systems, Inc, overseeing the expanding Pharmacy program.
Ashley Houvouras has been with the pharmacy program with Valley Health for over fourteen years, and her contributions are numerous. She has been a guiding presence in the 340B program to allow qualifying patients access to low-cost medications and is passionate in making sure that every patient’s medication needs are met. The pharmacy service line at Valley Health is one of fourteen in the state of West Virginia to be selected for many healthcare programs to bring benefits to city and rural areas alike.

“We have depended upon Ashley and the pharmacy team to deliver critical clinical resources and information to our providers and sites organization wide,” said Steve Shattls, MPA, President/CEO of Valley Health Systems, inc. “Her work during the past year overseeing many of the pilot programs has enabled Valley Health to increase access to health care to our populations and has brought us statewide and national attention.”
